About Make Your Own Mondays
Monday 3rd July: Bird Food Feast
Come along and make some tasty treats for the birds! We will also learn about how hard birds work to feed their chicks – and get out some binoculars to see what species we can spot!
Monday 10th July: River Adventure!
Come along & make your own boat! We will then head down to the river to sail them, and do some river dipping so see what little creatures live below the surface!
Monday 17th July: Woodland Explorers
Join us for a journey through Lochwinnoch’s magical woodland! We will make special journey sticks, then discover the forest’s trees in a new way! We will also create clay sculptures, and make animal homes too!
Monday 24th July: Flying Friends
Let’s take a closer look at the wildlife that flies at Lochwinnoch and make and design your own kite to soar high above the reserve.
Monday 7th August: Bushcraft - Campfire Fun!
Come along for some campfire fun at Lochwinnoch! Learn how to build a natural fire, and build a shelter to protect you from the elements! Then we will tuck in to some tasty campfire treats around the fire!
Monday 14th August: Bushcraft - Minibeast Safari
If you go down to the woods today, what creepy crawlies will you find? Whether they are flying over the meadow or hiding under logs, let's go on a bug hunt We will also make our very own butterfly feeders.
Monday 16th October: Happy Hedgehog Homes
Hedgehogs need a nice safe place to spend the winter- let's build them some cosy hogitats in a quiet corner of the Reserve. We'll also have a go at building dens big enough for us to fit inside- but will they be warm and dry enough for the winter?
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Make Your Own Mondays are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
