"Imagine the Manic Street Preachers doing a cover of The Pixies and you're close"
Eddy Temple-Morris, XFM
"...veers somewhere between the frenetic pace and monster riffage of Biffy Clyro and the kind of stadium rock choruses the Foo Fighters have been knocking out for the past decade, creating a sound that is remarkably spacious and frankly, huge"
"The combination of intellectual rock, hard-core riffs and brilliant musicianship gives The Twisted Melons a style which is simultaneously nostalgic and unique, as well being as highly pleasing to the ear."
The Perthshire Advertiser
"psychedelic, electronic rock"
A three piece band from Paisley who play a mixture of fast paced and slow building instrumental post-rock.
Azure Halo are a six piece Indie/Psychedelic band hailing from Glasgow, Scotland. They have been likened to The Velvet Underground, The Doors and The Stone Roses and a recent live set was described as "Like something from a Tarantino film."
Past gigs have included Glasgow's O2 and ABC along with The Classic Grand, Nice and Sleazy, The John Peel Centre for Creative Arts and The Edinburgh Picture House to name but a few.
Singer Rik has already had one of his songs "Left in The Blue" covered by Californian, 60's psychedelic band The Electric Prunes.
"Azure Halo came to a gig in Glasgow, Scotland and offered to let us hear what they were doing in the studio.....The gravel pit vocals really sell the songs and I found myself prying the CD away from my wife and her girlfriends as they swooned to the tunes. In a time when so much crap is out there it is refreshing to hear some actual music. We felt it was so cool we decided to cover one of the tunes." ~James Lowe, The Electric Prunes.
"Azure Halo is a wee blues infused rock revelation. Their lead singer delivered vocals in a Glasgow-come-Lou-Reed style drawl that suited their melodies. Songs like Tik Tok stood out from their set with it's off kilter style delivery and excellent guitar playing from their baby-faced lead." ~Kirsty Fraser, New Hellfire Club Glasgow.
