Our summer programme includes:
• Summer Activity Camps at On-X Linwood, Lagoon, Johnstone Community Sports Hub, Renfrew Sports Centre and Erskine Sports Centre.
• Outdoor Activity Camps which feature kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing and gorge walking.
• Football Camps in partnership with the SFA at Parkmains, KGV, Ralston and On-X Linwood.

All of our camps are run by highly trained, enthusiastic staff who have experience in working with young children. The camps are great value for money with reduced rates for concessions and multi-child bookings from the same family.

Activity Camps (5 - 14yrs)
Kids between the ages of 5-14 can enjoy a range of different sports, themed days, arts and crafts. There are endless activities across the whole of the Summer Holidays in the Lagoon, ON-X Linwood, Renfrew, Johnstone Community Sports Hub and Parkmains. Building on the success of previous Summer, Spring and October camps, these popular school holiday camps are run by highly trained and enthusiastic staff who have experience working with young children. The Activity Camps run between 10am and 3pm and come with two options for an extended stay for your child; The Early Risers Club and the Afternoon Kids Zone. These added blocks of fun offer Wii games, arts and crafts, giant floor games and dance mats in a more chilled out environment.
Renfrewshire Leisure/SFA Football Camp (5 - 12yrs)
Renfrewshire Leisure Sports Services in Partnership with SFA will be organising a Spring Football Programme which is suitable for young footballers from 5 to 12 years. Young players who attend may be taking their first steps in the game or be more experienced players who wish to work towards our elite player development programme. Each day will follow football related themes designed by experienced Scottish FA qualified coaches and in line with the National Player Pathway, will allow players to develop their technique through individual and group skill practices along with small sided games. We strive to create an environment where young players will enjoy participating in all aspects of the weekly programme and complete the week having improved technically and physically as a young player in a FUN environment.
On-X Football Camp (5 - 12yrs)
On-X Linwood will be hosting Summer football camps suitable for budding young footballers who are in primary 1 to 7. Boys and girls can enjoy specialised training from our qualified coaches that will focus on: Technique and tactical development, Passing, shooting and dribbling, Building confidence and improving co-ordination, Promoting health and the benefits of keeping active, Improving teamwork and social skills.
Junior Athletics Camp (9 - 15yrs)
The Sports Services team in partnership with Kilbarchan athletics club are holding a junior athletics programme open to P4-S3 pupils where athletes can come and try a whole range of different Olympic events! Your child will receive specialist athletics training each day from experienced coaching staff in running, jumping and throwing. Please ensure your child wears appropriate outdoor clothing, has a healthy snack and plenty of water. All Sessions will be outdoors unless there are extreme weather conditions so make sure you bring enough warm clothing.
Rock Climbing (Introductory) (11 - 18yrs)
This three day course will help you develop your rock climbing skills. Participants will visit 3 different venues and look at different types of climbing, including top roping, bouldering, sport climbing and trad techniques.
Rock & Water (Introductory) (11 - 18yrs)
This three day course will involve 3 different rock and water combined activities and may include abseiling. This summer we will be introducing new venues and new activities with the Eile chain walk specific activities will be weather dependant but expect to get wet whatever the weather. (P7-S6)
Volleyball Camp (11 - 18yrs)
Exciting new Volleyball summer camp is being delivered this summer! Open to beginners looking to take up this creative sport or more experienced players looking to develop their skills. The camp will be delivered by a fully qualified coach with links to Scottish Volleyball.
Gymnastics & Dance Camp (P1-P2) (5 - 6yrs)
The 5-6-year-old camp (10am-1230pm) will allow your child to experience both gymnastics and dance in a safe and fun environment. Sessions will be led by qualified, experienced coaches and coordinators that will teach your child various disciplines of dance and gymnastics. They will be introduced to a range of gymnastics skills including hand stands, forward / backwards rolls, split stretches, cartwheels, balances, bridges and a range of strength and flexibility sessions. The dance element will be a range of street, ballet and cheer pom. These activities will be fun, inclusive and help to further develop your childs coordination, balance, range of movement and aim to improve basics fitness levels.
Gymnastics & Dance Camp (P3-P7) (7 - 12yrs)
The 7-12-year-old camp (10am-3pm) is targeted at further developing your child in both dance and gymnastics. As well as introducing the basic skills of both sports we will help the children to build a skill set that will allow them to learn routines with elements of dance and gymnastics combined. As well as a range of gymnastics floor skills they will be taught elements of Tumble and Acro gymnastics. The dance will include street, ballet, contemporary and cheer pom. These camps will aim to improve your childs, strength, flexibility, fitness and further develop their coordination and range of movement. They will be taught by experienced, qualified coaches in a fun and safe environment that will aim to improve your child’s confidence and ability in both these sports.
Mountain Biking (Introductory) (11 - 18yrs)
Our three day Mountain Bike course will visit three different and help you develop your trail riding skills. Key aims for the week will be on posture, control, decision making and how to get the most out of your biking. (P7-S6)
Basketball Camp (9 - 14yrs)
Renfrewshire Leisure Sports Services in Partnership with Basketballpaisley will be organising a Summer Basketball Programme which is suitable for basketballers from school age P5 - S2. This camp will be led by a Team Scotland Basketball Athlete just back from competing at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, along with experienced qualified coaches. It will be ideal for players looking start their basketball journey or for more experienced players looking to improve their skills during the off season. Guaranteed 2hrs of games each day will ensure players have the opportunity to practice what they have learned and also compete for camp prizes throughout the week.
Junior Triathlon Camp (9 - 18yrs)
The Sports Services team are hosting a Renfrewshire’s Triathlon event for young people. Triathlon involves combining the three disciplines of swimming, cycling and running in one race/event. The competitors must complete all three disciplines and the fastest athlete is the winner. These sessions will look at time trials, triathlon etiquette and transition training looking at how competitors change quickly between swimming, cycling and running.
