H Arts
About H Arts
H-arts: Using drama to nurture your natural abilities!
Programmes are designed and facilitated by Karen Herbison who has years of combined experience in theatre performance / production / direction and writing as well as pre-five care, social care and devising and delivering corporate and theatre training.
Drama Junction
Drama Junction is a new theatre skills development environment which nurtures your natural abilities to allow you both personal and theatrical development.
Groups for all age ranges are designed and tailored to respond to varying needs and choices.
Participation in any Drama Junction performance / showcase will be optional:
Some may see attendance as personal development/confidence building through drama others will be increasing skills to use in the very active amateur theatre scene in Glasgow, Paisley and surrounding areas.
Some will want to show the pieces we have been working on and this will be supported in high standard showcases, performed in quality venues.
The group sizes (particularly with the younger sections) will never increase to levels in which they can become lost little numbers or feel unseen.
Drama Junction programmes are devised and led by Karen Herbison who has years of combined experience in theatre performance / production / direction and also pre-five/social care and training (including devising and delivering drama based workshops).
Dance Junction
Dance Junction is a new musical theatre dance hub run by Suzanne Shanks as a franchise of H-arts.
Making the most of and maximising your existing dance abilities, pushing yourself further in theatrical dance than you thought possible is a speciality of Suzanne at Dance Junction.
As with H-arts Drama Junction, this dance hub puts a huge emphasis on characterisation of a piece... No big cheesy grins here. This can be more vital in a musical theatre dance performance than technical ability alone.
Story Junction
At H-Arts Story Junction reading sessions, you and the children will enjoy Bringing characters and magical places alive in the land of books. This will ignite young children's interest in reading and encourage and promote a calming, enriching activity between adults and children.
Children will have the option of joining in with particular parts of the story and will be enthralled in these pre-reading / pre-drama participation sessions.
The design of sessions and books chosen, mean that children will enjoy some stimulating excitement before experiencing a story with a calming effect.
You can join a weekly group or book private sessions for gatherings, clubs or events.
