The Rare Books Festival will return in 2023
Rare Books Edinburgh is a festival dedicated to rare, collectable, and important books and the history of the book. Edinburgh's finest bookish institutions have arranged talks, exhibitions, and workshops for collectors, bibliophiles, and book-lovers, the majority of them free to all.
The talks include introductions suitable for budding book-lovers and those merely curious about the history of the book, along with scholars delving into their latest research. Collections rarely seen by the public will be show some of their treasures. At the centre is Scotland's largest and most prestigious book fair, with specialist dealers in rare and collectable books from all over Britain (and farther afield) offering selections from their stock.
