The premium five star housebuilder, which is creating a vibrant new community at Gryffe Meadows in Houston, has provided funding for a brand new kit for the 2009’s age group in the football club to wear.
On Saturday 6th May 2017, Ashley Ridley, Sales Consultant at Gryffe Meadows visited the club for the official unveiling of the new kit, which will be worn by the aspiring footballers during their training sessions and games each week.
Jonathan Annan, Head Coach at Houston United FC, said: “We’re delighted by the support Stewart Milne Homes has given to our football team, which has allowed us to purchase a full strip and training top for all of our boys, with spare strips for new members as well.
“It’s invaluable to have this type of support and more importantly it gives a real sense of belonging to the players and has brought a real team spirit to the club. The team is all about the social, physical and sporting development of young boys and this backing from Stewart Milne Homes shows a true sense of engagement with a local community.”
Ashley Ridley, Sales Consultant at Stewart Milne Homes, said: “When looking to move, buyers are not just thinking about what house they would like to buy, but the overall neighbourhood and community setting. Our award-winning team has designed Gryffe Meadows to be a place where people are proud to call home and we’re pleased to support Houston United FC with a new team kit.”
Houston United FC 2009’s was established three years ago with three dads and four boys. With the support of its parent club, Houston United FC, it now has 17 boys playing as part of the team, making up two squads competing in the Paisley Johnstone and District Youth Football league at Renfrew and Seedhill playing fields in Paisley on Sunday mornings in a small sided 5 v 5 format at present. The team is registered with the Scottish Youth Football Association and players were born in the years 2010 and 2009, and are mostly from the local area around Houston in Renfrewshire.
Stewart Milne Homes is creating an oasis at Gryffe Meadows in the charming conservation village of Houston with a collection of 32 four and five bedroom detached family homes. Designed to take advantage of the historic character of the area, the use of materials reflects the unique rural setting and the orientation of the homes provides picturesque vistas over the countryside landscape.
