Renfrewshire’s Provost, Lorraine Cameron is once again inviting children of primary school age to design a Christmas card for 2023. Three winners will be selected with each winner having the chance to push the button to light up either Paisley, Johnstone or Renfrew.
The winning designs will also be printed as Provost Cameron’s official Christmas cards and sent out all over the world.
The theme for 2023 is “snow”. This means the card needs to feature snow in any way you can think of.
Although there will be only 3 designs chosen for the Provost's official cards, every card that is submitted to the competition will be forwarded to I Am Me Scotland, who will arrange for them to go to elderly residents across Renfrewshire.
'I Am Me Scotland' is a multi-award winning charity working towards changing attitudes and behaviours so that disabled and vulnerable people can feel safe within their communities.
Each card should include a message, for example 'I hope you have a lovely Christmas', and be signed with the child's first name, age, and name of their Primary School.
Provost Cameron said: “I’m delighted to be bringing back my Christmas Card Competition again for 2023. Switching on the Christmas lights is a really important job and I need someone to help make sure it all goes smoothly. I always love seeing your designs and I can’t wait to see what Renfrewshire can create this year.”
All entries should be on A4 card or paper so that it can be folded into an A5 card with the message inside.
The image of the 3 winning entries will be replicated in a flat A5 format, so although you're free to use glitter or other decorative items, we won't be able to replicate that in the print for the Christmas cards.
Entries must be received by Tuesday 24 October and can be posted to:
