The iconic glass centre first opened its doors in 1989, a time when clothes were bright, shoulders were big, jeans were ripped, and athleisure was a prominent feature on the highstreet – many of which have come back around today.
To celebrate the milestone, the Glasgow shopping centre is inviting those that also turn 30 on its birthday to get in touch for their chance to win a shopping trip. Five people will be picked to receive a present of £100 to spend in-centre.
St. Enoch was the first of its kind in Scotland and has been at the heart of Glasgow’s vibrant retail sector, which is now recognised as the leading shopping destination outside London.
Many of the original retailers including Debenhams, Boots, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Burtons and WH Smith have been part of the centre throughout its 30 year history.
Commenting, Anne Ledgerwood, Centre Manager, said: “This is a landmark occasion for St. Enoch Centre and we are excited to celebrate the milestone with our retailers, shoppers and those in the city. We’d love to share this special date with others who are also turning 30 on the same day and invite them to celebrate in the best possible way, shopping.”
If you were born on 25th May 1989 and would like to be considered, please contact St. Enoch Centre directly on customerservices@st-enoch.co.uk, along with I.D. showing proof of birthday before Friday 17th May 2019. Five entries will be selected at random and winners will be required to visit the centre in person with ID to collect their prize.
