This workshop is intended for anyone who wants to learn the art of dressmaking. You will learn about pattern symbols, how to place a pattern on to fabric, construction skills, and how to adjust a pattern to achieve an accurate fit. On this workshop you will learn how to make a pair of Pyjama bottoms.
What to bring: For the Pyjama bottoms you will need 2.5 metres of your choice of fabric (cotton, brushed cotton or flannel fabric is ideal). Try to avoid fabric which has a stretch. If you’re not sure what fabric to buy please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Maximum of two students per class.
Skills:to attend this course you need to be able to use a sewing machine.
A commercial pattern will be purchased for you on booking which you can take home and use over and over again. The pattern comes in a range of sizes.
All other materials and equipment are provided but if you have your own sewing kit you are welcome to bring it along.
