Courttia Newland’s new novel A River Called Time is his first foray into speculative fiction, presenting an alternative world in which slavery and colonialism never happened, but where a structure called The Ark has been built to protect the elite from global destruction.
Adam Roberts, best known for his fantasy and science fiction, introduces It’s the End of the World: But what are we really afraid of?, as he explores the psychology behind our obsession with the apocalypse.
Chaired by fellow dystopian writer Katie Hale.
