Author Philip Caine is no stranger to adventure. In his forthcoming online talk to Paisley & District u3a, he reveals how events in life can be stranger than fiction. Viewers will learn how Philip moved from his home town of Barrow in Furness to finally work in Bagdad in Iraq and also in Russia. Attendees can quiz the writer, and have a chat afterwards. The zoom meeting starts at 2pm on Thursday 6 May.
U3A chair, Kathy O’Donnell remarked: “It will be fascinating to hear about the choices Philip Caine made in his career which led to a new life back in Barrow as a crime writer. He bases the plots for his action thrillers on his experiences. Given that he has worked in some of the world’s dangerous places, this might be a time to ‘hold onto your seats’!”
