Ghost - Echoes of a Life

Ghost is a haunting piece of promenade theatre set in a mythical landscape where the audience member walks alone following a marked route and enters the unsettling world of 'The Maker'.

Ghost - Echoes of a Life

About Ghost - Echoes of a Life

The performance is told through a blend of narration, music and three-dimensional soundscape. Ghost is written by award-winning playwright Judith Adams and directed by 2002 Creative Scotland Award-short listed Symon Macintyre.

A project directed at communities, Ghost will distort your surroundings into something hauntingly unrecognisable.

“Judith Adams’ script is as dense as thick, black treacle but has the lightest of touches.” The Guardian, Lyn Gardner

“Strange but beautiful and moving” The Scotsman, Joyce Macmillan

“I have been thinking about it ever since.” The Observer, Ruaridh Nicholl

“A delicious sensory overload of future gothic” The Herald, Neil Cooper

Ghost is a headphone show for a single person.

The single audience is immersed in a 3Dsoundscape

Please note that this is for one person at a time, groups should book different slots. This is a walking sound installation so weather appropriate clothing is encouraged.

The walking route should take between 30-40 minutes and will start and finish at Paisley Arts Centre

Please arrive on time, you will receive a playing device and headphones, but you are welcome to bring and use your own headphones.

All equipment will be fully sanitised before each use and all Covid safe procedures are in place at the venue.
