The Bluebells

About The Bluebells

New wave outfit The Bluebells shot to prominence in the mid-1980s with cleverly crafted, jangly guitar pop, catchy melodies, and stronger hooks.

The band enjoyed three Top 40 hits in the UK Singles Chart with “I’m Falling”, “Cath”, and their biggest success “Young at Heart” – which made it to number 8 on its original release in 1984.

Re-issued as a single in 1993, “Young at Heart” reached a brand-new audience and shot up the charts to number one, which led to the band reforming temporarily to perform the song on BBC’s Top of the Pops.
