From the peaceful meeting at Meikleriggs where several thousand people from Paisley, Glasgow, Ayrshire and all the surrounding areas met to hear the speakers and condemn the terrible events that had recently taken place at Peterloo in Manchester.
How in just a few hours did a peaceful meeting turn into a full-scale riot with cavalry racing into the town to smash it.
