Part of Tannahill Arts Festival, Silver Threads is a musical collaboration from Paisley buddies, Neil Thomson and Evelyn Laurie which brings together a collection of songs about their hometown!
About Silver Threads
"Silver Threads" is a musical collaboration from Paisley buddies, Neil Thomson and Evelyn Laurie. It brings together a collection of songs about their hometown: some old (Tannahill, MacDonald), some more recently composed (Kyle, McVicar) and some of their own creations.
Both singer-songwriters in their own right, Evelyn is most often found in a jazz setting, having released two critically acclaimed albums, while Neil is a talented instrumentalist, well known in the traditional music scene and a co-founder of the Crieff Folk Club, where he now lives.
Two additional musicians, on guitar and violin, will join them for this performance, which is the first public airing of the set.
