The musicians, who can often be found on the streets of Glasgow wowing passers-by with their busking, will be playing a selection of the best songs from the past fifteen years to celebrate XSite’s upcoming fifteenth anniversary year.
Music lovers can look forward to seeing local talent, who will perform on the ground floor of the centre, including Archie CW, Maryjane Sings, Zennor Whittaker and Maria McAveety on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 November.
Scotland’s leading entertainment destination, which opened in 2006, wants to use this weekend of music to shine a light on local talent who have kept us entertained and overcame hurdles in the industry throughout the pandemic.
Rosalind Gibson, Marketing Manager at XSite Braehead, said: “We are so excited to welcome these four amazing local musicians to perform at the centre this weekend. I have loved watching videos of their performances on social media, so to have them play live at XSite is sure to be a real treat for customers.
“Since the pandemic struck, musicians and those in the performing industries have been hit hard, so opening our doors at XSite, to a small collection of the amazing musical community in Scotland, is our way to support and showcase their talents and resilience.”
Archie CW, 17-years-old, has amassed over half a million fans on TikTok, with his unique covers and original songs, said: “I can’t wait to perform some of my favourite songs from the past fifteen years at XSite, which are sure crowd-pleasers. I’ll also be singing some original songs which I’ve been working on recently.
“As a young artist in Scotland, it’s great to get the backing of a brand like XSite and widen my music to a different audience. I’ll be reminding my followers on TikTok and Instagram to drop by and watch my set on the lead-up to the big day!”
The stage will be located on the ground floor of XSite Braehead, where the performers will play from 5:30pm-7:45pm on Friday 26 November, and between 2pm – 4:45pm on Saturday 27 November.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
