Even in the days of social distancing and self-isolation, many of us live in a world where we are almost constantly surrounded by strangers. How do we interact with those we don’t know and how might we rediscover age-old traditions of hospitality and friendship?
Will Buckingham is author of Hello, Stranger: How to Find Connection in a Disconnected World, written after the death of his wife, and tracing a personal journey to embrace the comfort that strangers give.
Will is joined in conversation by Roxani Krystalli, Assistant Professor of International Relations at the University of St Andrews, and storyteller whose interests include memory and loss, violence and care, and notions of home.
