We’re really excited to welcome Luisa Hendry, also known as The Scottish Geologist, to Erskine Arts for a lively and interactive event exploring Scotland’s incredible geology.

Luisa describes herself as “that girl who makes videos about rocks”, and her love for the subject is infectious. Growing up in Largs, she spent her time beachcombing, breaking open stones in search of crystals and developing a fascination with the landscapes around her (with a healthy influence from some classic ’90s geology films along the way).

After discovering geology later at school, Luisa followed a determined and unconventional path into Earth Science, graduating from the University of Glasgow and working as a geotechnical engineer before recently taking the leap to share her passion full-time.

Now with over 600,000 followers on socials, she’s inspiring people across Scotland and beyond to look at the ground beneath their feet in a whole new way.

Expect an engaging talk, plenty of interaction, and the chance to meet Luisa and chat all things rocks in a welcoming, relaxed setting.
