Songs of Paisley: Past, Present & Proud is a heartfelt musical celebration of place, people and identity, led by Paisley buddies, Evelyn Laurie and Neil Thomson, the band, Silver Threads, will perform original and traditional songs inspired by the town’s favourite and most famous stories: from witches to weaving, poets to protests, the Braes, Tatabella and slugs! Each song is introduced through a short storytelling segment telling where it came from, what or who inspired it, creating a performance both entertaining and informative that blends heritage and humour in equal measure.
