The project is investigating the historic graveyards of modern Renfrewshire tell the story of the County's past through the lives of those who lie with in the graveyards.
We have monthly meetings for volunteers to meet up and do research on the sites and people that are buried in selected graveyards, and we plan to carry out surveys of specific graveyards producing modern lair plans, new transcriptions of memorials, research the history of the graveyard/ church, the genealogy of buried families and write up our results for presentation on social media / website and a final publication.
There will also be a series of graveyard tours and two talks on Paisley graveyards/ wider Renfrewshire graveyards that can be delivered to any interest groups throughout the project.
