Paisley, Scotland's largest town, is located to the west of the City of Glasgow and south of the River Clyde.
Housing is a mix of private/public sector, pre/post war houses and flats up to four storeys in height, with large areas of two storey housing throughout. There are 20 residential blocks of multi-storey flats within the area.
The traditional textile industry has disappeared, leaving light engineering, whisky distillation, chemical manufacturing, warehousing and distribution as the remaining industries within the area.
