Each heritage walk is different, and ranges from the archaeology and weaving heritage of Kilbarchan to the origins and growth of Paisley.

The Urban Historian can provide bespoke heritage walks in Paisley and Renfrewshire, outwith our scheduled walks.

We also provide talks for interested groups such as church groups, care homes and hospices.

Stephen, the heritage walk leader, a professional archaeologist and historian has been working in Renfrewshire for 25 years on excavations and over the last 10 years has been teaching Renfrewshire's local history and archaeology at the University of the West of Scotland and privately (freelance lectures were previously run under the name Renfrewshire History).
