West Renfrewshire Young Farmers Club is an organisation ran by young people FOR young people. It is affiliated to the Scottish Association of Young Farmers which has over 80 clubs in Scotland. It is a registered charity and provides activities for young people in rural areas.
All that formal stuff aside- at West Renfrewshire YFC you are guaranteed to make friends for life and learn thousands of new life skills along the way. Aimed at 14 to 28 year olds, there's something for everyone!
Our members are ages 14-28 from across Renfrewshire including: Langbank, Bishopton, Erskine, Inchinnan, Renfrew, Kilmacolm, Greenock, Gourock, Houston, Bridge of Weir, Brookfield, Kilbarchan, Johnstone, Elderslie, Linwood, Paisley, Lochwinnoch, Howwood, Barrhead, The Braes and Neilston.
We take part in National hockey, football, netball and bowling competitions to name only a select few! You can also try your hand at handicrafts, photography, stockjudging, speechmaking, clay pigeon shooting, quiz nights, go-karting, summer water fights (the list is endless) if you are intrigued as to what any of these activities might entail come along and join in.
First 3 taster nights free and thereafter £15 for a year's membership for newbies, a small price to pay for the thousands of doors open to you!
Most weekends there are trips around the country to dances in rugby clubs or community halls including DJ, bar, drinks and dancing where you'll make so many new friends. Under 18s are wristbanded but that doesn't stop you from joining in the fun!
There are also opportunities to travel fully funded with Young Farmers, members have gone all over the globe including Argentina, Finland, New Zealand and Europe.
