Lynn Stewart, 19, of Ferguslie, was the winner of a competition to name the two donkeys and got to meet them for the first time.
She was joined by Councillor Eddie Devine, Convener of Renfrewshire Council’s Environment Policy Board, who presented Lynn with a prize for her winning suggestions.
Lynn said: “I was in the park with my pals for the gala day and we all saw the competition to name the donkeys.
“I thought it would be good if their names had something to do with the town, so I came up with Paisley and Buddie.
“It was great fun meeting them today, seeing them running about in their field. They’re both lovely and I think they enjoy living in Barshaw Park.
“I’ll definitely be back to visit them again!”
Cllr Devine said: “It was a real pleasure to be here and present Lynn with her prize. I’ve met Paisley and Buddie before but it’s always fun to see them, and to see people’s reactions when they come here for the first time.”
“Barshaw Park is great facility for the town to have and the donkeys have always been a big attraction for local families. It’s great to see how popular Paisley and Buddie are with everyone they meet.”
Lynn’s prize was an annual swimming pass and swimming equipment kindly donated by Renfrewshire Leisure.
