Sponsored by James Porter & Son, The Scottish Wedding Show brings together 220 of the UK’s leading wedding suppliers under one roof, giving brides and grooms-to-be everything they need to make their celebration truly unforgettable. From venues and weddingwear to entertainment, flowers and décor, visitors can find inspiration for every detail of their big day. This year, organisers have noted a growing demand for alternative and standout wedding entertainment and are set to welcome a host of showstopping suppliers to the October show, from live performers and interactive acts to dramatic displays such as firebreathers.
Returning to The Scottish Wedding Show this weekend is The University of Glasgow. Previously only available for students, staff, alumni or their children, the historic venue is for the first time opening its doors to all couples looking for a unique setting for their big day. Also exhibiting at the show is bespoke bridal wear from Lorelle Atara Couture; Studio Mazzolino floral; Blair Teska ceilidh band; Levels 360 who offer pancake cart hire; and Scotsman Group offering stag and hen party options.
Speaking about the upcoming event, QD Events’ Portfolio Director, Nikki Stokoe said: “We’re welcoming a diverse range of wedding suppliers to suit every wedding style, and it’s interesting to see how couples’ visions for their big day continue to evolve this year. Whether you’re planning a classic wedding or something totally out of the ordinary, let The Scottish Wedding Show inspire your vision and help you plan every detail of your perfect day.”
The University of Glasgow Weddings Team said: “We’re thrilled to be back at The Scottish Wedding Show this weekend to showcase our venue to all couples, not just the affiliated groups. The University of Glasgow is a truly stand-out place, full of historic charm and character, making it the perfect backdrop for unforgettable wedding celebrations. We can’t wait to meet couples at the show and share how they can make their big day truly special at one of Scotland’s most iconic locations.”
The revamped RAD Runway will once again showcase the latest trends in weddingwear from Scotland’s top bridal and menswear boutiques. Back by popular demand, the Let’s Talk Tying the Knot stage – in association with Tie the Knot Scotland – gives visitors the chance to hear from experts on bridal fashion, ring shopping, budgeting tips, and how to add a personal touch to their celebrations.
Visitors can get first dance inspiration and curate a wedding soundtrack they love at the Live Band Showcase, while those looking to make their visit extra special can upgrade to VIP tickets for fast-track entry, all day access to the VIP Lounge designed by Vstate Events, a complimentary glass of fizz or soft drink in the VIP Bar hosted by Manorview, a Clarins goody bag, complimentary copy of Tie the Knot Scotland, plus front-row seats at the RAD Runway show.
Tickets are available now from £18 for entry only, £21.50 for general admission and Runway, and £30 for VIP tickets (VIP tickets are only available for visitors 16+).
