Paisley Halloween Festival delivers a frightfully fun weekend for all
Spooky season descended on Paisley at the weekend as thousands of visitors turned out for the annual Halloween Festival!

The Halloween parade was once again the main spectacle of Paisley Halloween Festival with visitors gathering in the town centre to enjoy the show.
The free to attend event, saw more than 350 professional performers and community groups participate in the parade, which was inspired by children’s popular book and movie characters, that wove through the town centre on Friday and Saturday night.
Some of the parade highlights included Harry Potter chess pieces, Fantastic Mr Fox, the Yeti from Where the Wild Things are and Mary Poppins and her LED umbrellas.
There was plenty of activities on throughout the two days to entertain the crowds including the funfair at the Lagoon Car Park and East End Park, live performances on County Square, street performances in the town centre, marshmallow toasting, arts and craft sessions and spooky light shows and inflatable monster installations on some of the town’s most well-known buildings.
The event was delivered by Renfrewshire Council in partnership with performance specialists Cirque Bijou.
The next major event to take place in Paisley town centre will be Paisley’s Christmas Lights Switch On event on Saturday 15 November, with plenty of Christmas family fun including arts and crafts workshops, magical light tunnels and a funfair. Visitors will also be able to enjoy exciting street entertainment and performances throughout the day from local acts, with Celtic rock band Red Hot Chilli Pipers taking to the main stage at 5pm ahead of the big switch on moment at 6pm.
The winter events keep on coming with Christmas Light Switch-On events taking place in Renfrew on Saturday, 22 November, Erskine on Friday 28 November, Johnstone on Saturday, 29 November, and Linwood on Friday 5 December.
