It’s rude, it’s wild, it’s proper explicit — if you’re needing a night out, this panto’s the ticket.
This outrageous adult panto takes the classic tale and tips it upside down like a house in a tornado. Think ruby slippers, flying chaos, and a yellow brick road paved with questionable decisions. Expect quick-fire comedy, wild characters, and a story that wanders so far off the yellow brick road it needs a compass.
The cast stars Sanjeev Kohli as the Wizard; Gayle Telfer Stevens as the Wicked Bitch; Cherry West as Glinda; Molly Quinn as Dorothy; Craig McDougall as the Scarecrow; Andrew Grayson as the Lion; and Megan McGuire as the Tin Wummin. Written and produced by Gayle Telfer Stevens and Reece Donnelly who also acts as Director.
They’ve teamed up to found a new company, Patter Productions — bringing a fresh, unapologetic approach to Scottish theatre. Their debut tour promises big laughs, bold choices, and the kind of mischief Dorothy definitely didn’t see in Kansas.
Gayle Telfer Stevens said: “The January blues are real, so we wanted to give audiences something joyful to land in once the dust settles. This panto has the sparkle of ruby slippers and the kind of jokes that would make the Wicked Witch blush. If you’ve ever wished the yellow brick road came with a bar break, this is your show”.
“We’re returning to the towns and city that have always supported us, and we cannot wait to bring them something bold, funny, and just the right amount of wicked.”
Reece Donnelly said: “Our X-rated panto has more twists than a twister, more noise than a chorus of munchkins, and a cast who commit harder than Dorothy clicking her heels. Still Game’s Sanjeev Kohli brings the kind of confidence to the Wizard that makes the curtain irrelevant — he’s the one with the big bawz, and it shows.”
“Gayle knows exactly how to electrify a stage — from River City to sell-out comedy tours, she excels at roles with bite, humour and attitude, and as the Wicked Bitch she gets to embrace chaos at full volume. And Cherry West, a standout of Scotland’s drag scene, brings sass, sarcasm and glam; her Glinda moves between elegance and mischief with ease — fierce energy paired with a magic wand that may or may not cause trouble.”
