Paisley Christmas Lights Switch On
The countdown to Paisley's Christmas begins with the switching on of the town's Christmas lights on Thursday 28th November!
About Paisley Christmas Lights Switch On
Mark the beginning of the month-long festive activity with live on-stage entertainment from local groups and musicians at the ice rink/Cenotaph in Paisley Town Centre from 2.30pm.
Renfrewshire's Provost Lorraine Cameron and a local primary school pupil will take to the stage at 5.30pm to switch on the town's Christmas lights.
Live on-stage entertainment at the ice rink/Cenotaph:
2.30pm-2.45pm: Turning Point Renfrewshire, Adults Theatre group
2.45pm-3.15pm: Paisley Rock Choir
3.15pm-3.45pm: Erin Hepzibah Duo
3.45pm-4.15pm: Jennifer Scott Dance
4.15pm-4.40pm: Vision Dance Academy
4.40pm-5.30pm: Proposal Cover Band
5.30pm-5.45pm: Christmas Lights Switch On, with Renfrewshire’s Provost, Santa and our Christmas Card Competition winner
5.45pm-6pm: Christmas Party Playlist with MC Jed McCabe
6pm-7pm: Howlin’ Radio, including a special performance from Shaun Moore, Tannahill Makar – Christmas Stars
We’ve also got street acts and Christmas characters in the town centre from 4pm-7pm. Illuminated polar bears, giant robins, plus Santa comes to town!
