Paisley Methodist Central Hall is an imposing Edwardian building in the Free Renaissance style designed by architects Watson and Salmond and constructed in 1908. Around 100 Central Halls were built in major towns and cities across Britain between 1886 and 1945. Paisley Central Hall is the only one in Scotland still in use as a Church.
For Doors Open Days 2021 there will be one way self-guided tour around the building starting on the ground floor, progressing to the auditorium and finishing in the Heritage Room on the second floor.
For young people there is an information sheet about auditorium with some questions to answer on what they see there.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
