About An African American In Paisley

Join us as we take a look at the life of the Paisley silk weaver Peter Burnet.
Peter was a young man who ended up in Paisley after an adventurous journey from cabin boy on a privateer fighting for the English in the US was of independence to his arrival in Paisley and his eventual life as a well respected silk weaver. We'll have a look at his life and his life long friendship with the Tannahill family and his tragic link to Robert Tannahill.

The story is fascinating and well worth hearing about.
