Andrew Lloyd Weber's iconic musical ‘Evita’, tells the story of the meteoric rise to Sainthood of Eva Peron in 1940s Argentina. Eva’s story, although historically accurate, could have been the plot of a Hollywood movie: humble beginnings to ambitious actress, to most powerful woman in Latin America, before her untimely death to cancer at the age of just 33. The score is evocative, emotional and powerful and features hit songs "Don't Cry for Me Argentina”, “Oh What a Circus”, “You Must Love Me” and “Another Suitcase in Another Hall”.
Starlight Music Theatre, now in their 20th year and well known for staging high quality productions, present ‘Evita’ in the beautiful setting of Paisley West Church, with a cast of 60 and a live orchestra. This is one certainly not to be missed.
