Are you new to birdwatching or interested in taking it up? Join the team at RSPB Lochwinnoch for the ideal workshop to introduce beginners to this fantastic hobby!
This workshop will help you:
Learn about common birds: Gain knowledge about the birds that are frequently spotted in the Big Garden Birdwatch and others found around the reserve.
Wildlife watching techniques: Pick up tips and advice on how to observe wildlife effectively.
Using binoculars and scopes: Get guidance on using optical equipment to enhance your birdwatching experience.
Choosing resources: Learn how to select the best printed resources to help you confidently identify wildlife. After the indoor session, we'll head out onto the reserve to practice your new skills.
Don't worry if you don't have your own binoculars; they are available for hire at the shop.
Under 18's must be accompanied by a paying adult
Note: Online booking is essential. Booking Information To secure your spot, please book online. This ensures that we can manage group sizes and provide the best experience for all participants. Join us for a wonderful morning of birdwatching and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature while learning a new and rewarding hobby! Outdoor elements of this event will stick to reserve trails and public footpaths. Walks will vary in length depending on route taken and weather but should not exceed 2.5 miles. People must come suitably attired for the weather and wearing appropriate footwear. Unsuitably attired people may not be permitted to go on the walk. Stout footwear and clothing suitable for the Scottish outdoors are strongly recommended.
