A mass dog walk take place in Renfrew's Robertson Park in support of the Take the Lead campaign, which aims to encourage dog owners to pick up after their pets and be responsible dog owners.

Taking place from 10am on Saturday 23 September 2023 in Robertson Park in Renfrew before the Dog Companion Show, all dog owners are invited to bring along their furry friends for a walk around the park, collect some free merchandise and pick up some top tips from St Mirin Dog Training Centre.

Owner Denise Symon said: “We have been promoting responsible dog ownership through training courses in Renfrewshire for over 30 years and it goes without saying that cleaning up after your dog is part of that. We are happy to support the council in any way we can to encourage owners to clean up after their pets.”
