Depicting the life story of this fascinating man. The first African American to come to Paisley. He arrived via Virginia, New York, Glasgow, Kilmarnock and finally Paisley. Although born a free man he was acutely aware any minute he could be enslaved.
You'll find out about his time on a pirate ship. Life with Military Commanders, his move to Edinburgh when the weaving trade collapsed as well as marriages children and much more. It will end with a visit to his resting place.
1pm - Tour Commences at Tannahills Cottage, 11 Queen Street, Paisley PA1 2TT
2pm - Tour ends at Loud n Proud School of Rock 14 William Street Paisley PA1 2LZ
You are then invited to come into Loud n Proud School of Rock for a light lunch and refreshment and see the published video of Peter Burnett.
