Paisley Sinfonia, Paisley's original and only symphony orchestra, will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a Diamond Jubilee Concert at Paisley Town Hall on Sunday 5th May!
About Paisley Sinfonia Diamond Jubilee Concert
Paisley Sinfonia (formerly known as St James Orchestra) was formed in St James Church in 1964, so 2024 is our Diamond Jubilee.
We are Paisley's original and only symphony orchestra, so we are going to perform a special concert in Paisley Town Hall to mark the occasion (we normally give two concerts per year).
The concert includes Verdi's Force of Destiny Overture, Bizet's Carmen Suite, and Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony, plus the world première of Trending, a work composed by one of our members, Kester Clark.
Our members are all enthusiastic amateur music lovers, and we rehearse on Sunday afternoons in Paisley North Church.
