This course is intended for those who want to expand their dressmaking skills. If you have completed a couple of dressmaking projects before then this course is for you. On this Coatigan course you will be taken step by step through your given pattern from cutting out to hemming. The course consists of 3 lessons over 3 consecutive weeks. The course can also be completed on a 1-2-1 basis. After lesson three you will walk away with your very own fabulous coat, to impress your family and friends.
What will I learn?
• Reading, laying out and cutting a commercial pattern
• How to transfer pattern markings
• To construct and attach a collar
• How to attach a facing
• How to insert sleeves
• Turn up hems
• How to make and attach pockets
What to bring:
You will need to bring your own fabric, which will be discussed on booking. A commercial pattern will be purchased for you (Simplicity S8742). It comes in a range of sizes XS-XL Bust 30-46 Inches.
