The artist exhibits drawings, sculpture and video, as the outcome of a project which began with his exploration of one of Paisley’s historic buildings, the unoccupied interior of the former Baptist church hall on Walker Street in the town’s west end. The artist spent days sketching and filming in and around the building but focussed his attention mainly on the interior - exploring the strange, uninhabited spaces filled with remnants of the previous tenants, who included a chiropodist, funeral director and auction house.
Creative Renfrewshire has created Off the High Street Art Space & Gallery, a new space for Renfrewshire’s creative community to utilise and share their work, ideas and projects.
