Local vocalist and coach, Stephanie Strachan is delivering a singing workshop on Thursday 5 December at 2pm in the Salvation Army Hall in Mill Street (PA1 1ND).
Stephanie already works with numerous community choirs and choral groups following her studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Participants at u3a can share some pre- Christmas cheer as they learn new songs and practice different melodies.
u3a chair, Kathy O’Donnell said: “According to scientists, listening to music or making it is good for our health. Some people might feel shy about singing aloud while others are happy to raise the roof! We hope everyone who attends will find it is a fun way to boost their spirits this winter.
"People also have an opportunity to meet up for some seasonal refreshments between1.30pm -2pm, before Stephanie starts her medley of songs.”
This u3a recently launched a brand new website. It’s even easier to check when local groups/activities meet and how to join at: paisleydistrict.u3asite.uk
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
