Family History Cafe

About Family History Cafe

For this Family History Cafe session, we are going to look at the Usefulness of Graveyards and Cemeteries when searching for your ancestors. Recent work at Govan Old, discovering lost headstones, and my work on Renfrewshire's Historic Graveyards has made me think more about about what we don't see in our local graveyards and what may appear to be lost, but really isn't.

We will have a look at the Burial Records that are available online, those available in the National Records and those held elsewhere.

All profits from the booking fee go to support the Beatson Cancer charity.

We like to support our hosts by purchasing drinks, etc, while we are there.

You will receive an automatic email when you book and a further email just before the event confirming locations, etc.
