'The Hangar' is brand new evening curated by musicians Sushil K Dade (The Soup Dragons / Future Pilot AKA) & Radhika, bringing together Scotland’s alternative artistic community for a multi-arts celebration of music, film, and unexpected collaborations. Each night will feature special guests, exclusive performances, and handpicked films that inspire and challenge the way we experience art. Alongside ad-hoc music from Radhika and Sushil.
Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai) Takeover — with special guests Cloth
Join us for an unforgettable evening hosted by Stuart Braithwaite, guitarist, author, and founding member of Scottish post-rock pioneers Mogwai. As part of his takeover, Stuart will be joined by rising alt-pop duo Cloth, fresh off the release of their stunning new album Pink Silence on Mogwai’s Rock Action Records. Expect a genre-blurring journey through sound and story as Stuart shares excerpts from his book, "Spaceships Over Glasgow", interspersed with some of his favourite music, and a screening of the new Mogwai documentary film — ‘If Stars Had a Sound’.
Special Guests: Cloth (Live Set)
Cloth are twins Rachael and Paul Swinton. Championed by BBC Radio 6 Music DJs Mary Anne Hobbs, Huw Stephens, and Guy Garvey, the band’s new album, Pink Silence will be released on April 25th 2025 via Mogwai’s Rock Action Records.
Produced by Ali Chant (Perfume Genius, PJ Harvey, Yard Act), Pink Silence comes after the band shared new singles 'Stuck', ‘Golden’ and ‘Polaroid’, their first new music since the release of their acclaimed and Scottish Album Of The Year Award nominated 2023 album for Rock Action, Secret Measure. Blending intricate alt-rock guitar interplay with Rachael’s signature gossamer-thin vocal, Secret Measure received critical acclaim from The Guardian, Pitchfork, CLASH and Uncut and was shortlisted for the 2023 SAY Award.
Film Screening: If the Stars Had Sound
If the Stars Had Sound is the brand-new feature-length documentary about Mogwai, released April 28. Directed by longtime collaborator Antony Crook, the film is a raw and intimate portrait of the band’s 25-year journey — from their 1995 beginnings to the making of their tenth studio album.
Built from unprecedented access and unseen archive footage, the film captures Mogwai’s transformation from Glasgow outsiders to international cult icons — known for their emotionally euphoric, genre-defying live performances.
At its heart, this is a love letter to the band’s fans — a powerful celebration of the deep emotional connections formed through Mogwai’s music.
