Join us as we hop on an iconic McGills tour bus for a thirty-minute journey like no other. With our very own tour guide, George, sharing his spookiest and silliest stories from over the years.
Each bus tour will last around 30 minutes. All children will also receive a goodie bag at the end of the journey.
Please find below the route the bus will take. Other than getting on and off the bus at the start and end points, everyone will remain seated throughout.
Starting at: Ardgowan Hospice ACCESS building
Lyle Fountain & municipal buildings
Newark Castle
The Shipbuilders of Port Glasgow statues
Sugar Sheds/James Watt Dock
Ending at: Ardgowan Hospice ACCESS building
A huge thank you to McGills for supporting this event!
Date and time: Wednesday, 29th of October. Please arrive outside the Ardgowan Hospice ACCESS building no later than 6:35pm to ensure the bus can leave at 6:45pm.
Tickets: £10 per child, £2 per adult.
T&Cs
Ardgowan Hospice staff will be on each tour to provide support, but cannot be left in charge of children under the age of 16. Please ensure to book at least one adult per group of children.
Journeys may last slightly longer than the estimated 30 minutes due to unpredictable traffic.
No food or drink (other than water) is allowed on the bus.
Some seats are located in the open-air top deck, so please consider the weather before arriving and dress appropriately.
All buses will be driven by trained and skilled McGills drivers. All McGills staff involved are kindly giving their time to allow this event to run.
If you are unsure if this event is suitable for your child, please feel free to contact fundraising@ardgowanhospice.org, and we can talk you through the various spooky stories and event structure.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
