We’re delighted to announce the very first performance of our brand-new festive show...A Christmas Carol at the Sma’ Shot Cottages!
The team behind the Sma’ Shot Cottage Halloween experience return to bring Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to life like never before.
Step back in time this December and experience Charles Dickens’ much-loved Christmas classic brought to life within the historic walls of the 18th-century weaver’s cottages. This brand-new daytime production invites you to journey with Ebenezer Scrooge through scenes of joy, generosity, and ghostly guidance! All set against the charming backdrop of Paisley’s rich history.
With costumed storytellers, immersive performances, and authentic Victorian surroundings, this enchanting event captures the warmth, humour, and heart of Dickens’ tale. It’s the perfect festive outing for families, literature lovers, and anyone seeking to rediscover the true spirit of Christmas.

Each performance runs for 50-55 minutes. Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before the show, as it will begin promptly on the hour.
Suitable for all ages — this family-friendly event celebrates the joy and message of A Christmas Carol, offering a magical and heartwarming experience for everyone.
Please note: Due to the historic nature of the cottages, there is no disabled access, and visitors should expect narrow staircases and uneven floors. There are no lifts available.
We kindly ask guests not to touch the actors or displays and to take care in this delicate museum environment.
The Sma’ Shot Cottages, run by the Old Paisley Society, are a cherished part of Paisley’s history. Your visit supports the preservation of these beautiful buildings and the stories they tell. The Society is a registered charity, and a donation box will be available before every performance for those who wish to contribute.
