Trio of Scottish sisters to host socially distanced theatre show in Perthshire boasting performances from world-class entertainers!
Almost three quarters of UK theatres face permanent closure as a result of the Coronavirus crisis. The pandemic continues to limit live entertainment with performers across the globe exploring innovative ways to celebrate the arts. RosieGlow’s production of Revival allows Scottish theatre to thrive during the current climate providing a safe space for audiences to enjoy live entertainment.
The show boasts performances from Scottish Comedian and Singer Clark Stewart, world-class vocalists, magicians and dancers. RosieGlow is passionate about giving back to the community and supporting the arts. Suppliers of the event are local Scottish businesses and their team of performers are those whose careers have been hit by the pandemic. A percentage of Revival’s profits will go towards arts charities in a bid to support the entertainment industry.
Revival will be held at the prestigious Scone Palace just outside Perth for the last 3 weekends of August 2020. Tickets start at £35 for one car and driver then £10 per head after that. VIP tickets for one car and up to 5 people with the best view of both stage and screen are £85. Tickets on sale now at www.seetickets.com
Since lockdown the sister’s careers have come to a halt. Eldest sister Rohanne studied at the Dance School of Scotland from the age of 12 and now performs on cruise ships across the world. Victoria achieved her undergraduate degree with East 15 Acting School and now acts throughout the UK. Meanwhile, Harriet is a biomedical scientist turned entrepreneur. All three of the sisters first started their performance training at local dance school, Julie Young Dance Studios. Rosie Glow Productions is a way for the sisters to use their combined skills within the industry to bring performance back to Scotland, and support the arts.
Harriet Compson-Bradford, co-founder of Rosie Glow Productions said: “Working in the arts, we’ve witnessed the effects of the pandemic on the arts industry as a whole. We want our show Revival to play a part in getting theatre back up and running.
“We know that the industry will not only survive post Covid-19, but it will thrive as long as we get momentum behind supporting the arts.
“We hope Revival will show that theatre is not dying, we just have to find new ways to access it.”
