Following announcements on Friday 11 December that we have now been moved into level three, newly renamed leisure destination XSite Braehead has announced that 90 per cent of its offering will be reopening just in time for Christmas including GraVity, Paradise Island Golf, The Little Dessert Shop and China Buffet King.
Visitors can meet Santa in his lodge (socially distanced of course!), where he will be reading stories and finding out what your little ones want for Christmas, they'll even get a gift to take home. They will also love sledging, tubing and playing in real snow, dancing with the penguins and feasting on delicious cookies and warming hot chocolate.
The venue, which will be open every day until Christmas Eve, has updated its format to ensure children and families can still meet Santa.
Explaining more about what visitors can expect this Christmas, Bruce Harley, centre manager for XSite Braehead, said: “We are really excited for Christmas and have done everything we can to ensure the safety of our visitors, Santa and his elves, and we feel we have the balance just right to make a visit here magical this season.
“It is important for everyone that social distancing is maintained and we have adapted Santa’s Winter Wonderland Lodge, adding seating for parents and children, which will allow us to maintain a safe distance during your visit.
“We continue to maintain safety measures throughout, with people only being able to visit in their private social bubbles, regular temperature checking of Santa, elves and other staff, reduced touchpoints, thorough cleaning schedules of the building and equipment, mandatory face coverings and hand sanitiser stations throughout.
“Numbers will be limited for safety reasons and so we urge people to book their favourite activities early.”
“We hope that by making every effort to maintain visitor and staff safety that we are able to provide a memorable and stress-free experience for you and your family to remember for years to come.”
XSite has been part of an exciting rebrand project as part of a recent takeover of the site by property management specialist MAPP in October, and the venue, which has been an integral part of the local community for many years, will see an exciting new era as it moves into 2021.
Bruce added: “Although our immediate focus has been about making Christmas magical for our customers we have lots of exciting plans for the new year and can’t wait to share them with you.”
