Organisers have taken this difficult decision due to the changes in government guidelines on both indoor and outdoor events and, to ensure that the event, when it takes place, will be safe and fun for all those taking part.
Commenting on the postponement of the Dook, Audrey Calder from Loch Lomond Shores says: “We are so disappointed to have to postpone the event but Loch Lomond Shores and our event partners, ProTay and Inchbaggers, feel that it is the right thing to do in the current circumstances.
“Having spent months organising, it will definitely go ahead with the announcement of a new date set for the week of the 10th January.
“All those booked to take part will be contacted today and we’ll keep in touch to confirm when it will go ahead in 2022. Our aim is to have it in the spring if possible and host a safe, fun and successful event that everyone can enjoy.”
“We offer our sincere apologies to all our participants but hope they’ll understand that this is the right decision given the circumstances.”
