Running from 14th – 18th October 2024, the camps bring together an amazing range of activities which will help pack the days off school with a fun, energised, and action-packed programme. The camps provide a week filled with a mixture of indoor and outdoor sports and activities, football fun, and disability sessions to choose from.
Sessions include:
Multi-activity Camps (P1-S2) at On-X Linwood: 14th – 18th October.
If you are looking for a fun filled activity camp this October then look no further than OneRen’s Multi Sport and Activity Camp. Trained staff will deliver a variety of sports and activities for you to enjoy including dance, archery, basketball, tennis and many more! The sessions provide the opportunity to learn new skills, try lots of new sports and meet new friends. This camp will include indoor/outdoor sports, bouncy castle, dance games, outdoor challenges and adventures no matter what the weather.
OneRen Fun Football Camp (P1-S2) at Park Mains High School: 14th – 18th October.
Young players who attend may be taking their first steps in the game or be more experienced players who wish to work towards our elite player development programme. Each day will follow football related themes designed by experienced Scottish FA qualified coaches and in line with the National Player Pathway, which will allow players to develop their technique through individual and group skill practices along with small sided games. The sessions create an environment where young players will enjoy participating in all aspects of the week-long programme and complete the week having improved technically and physically as the boys and girls make lots of new friends in a fun environment.
The hugely popular outdoors multi-activity camp is back (P7-S6) at various venues on 14th – 18th October, where participants can experience a variety of outdoor sporting activities including rock climbing, paddle sports, mountain biking, and more. Each day of the week will focus on a different activity.
In addition to these camps, there is also a Disability Sport and Activity Session (P1 - S6) on Tuesday 15th October, 12:45-2:15pm, and a Disability Water Polo Session on Thursday 17th October, 1-2pm, at the Lagoon Leisure Centre. These sessions are available to any family with a young person (P1-S6) with a disability and/or sensory impairment. A parent/guardian/carer must stay with the participant for the duration of the multi-activity session, but they are actively encouraged to take part too. This 1.5hr hour long programme allows all the family to take part in fun activities locally in Renfrewshire. Parent/guardian/carer must also be present for the water polo session in the pool spectator area; there is no requirement to enter the water.
Fiona Watson, Sport and Health Manager at OneRen, said: “Our teams are all set to deliver our fantastic October activity programme. Whether it’s enjoying physical activities or football, dance and indoor sport or amazing outdoor activities in the countryside and on the water, there really is something for everyone to take part in. It really is the ideal way to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays.
“We hope everyone can take part and avoid claims that there’s nothing to do during the school break! The camps are hugely popular, so get booking now to avoid any disappointment.”
