Loch Lomond Shores offers a great place for amateur photographers to take amazing and inspiring pictures of this iconic Scottish loch and its surroundings. Which is exactly why our annual photography competition has proved so popular in previous years.
The competition will run from 22nd January until 19th February with amateur photographers invited to come along and take photographs anywhere at Loch Lomond Shores to then submit these for the chance to win a great prize.
It’s fun, it’s something different and it’s something that all the family can take part in. You can choose your image from our iconic views of the loch, beaches, woodland, wildlife, fun portraits, bugs or anything that takes your fancy. All we ask is that you get creative, and the photograph is taken here at Loch Lomond Shores!
There are two categories for the competition – under 16 and over 16.
The prize for the Under 16 competition is 2 child tickets for Treezone where the winner can have a great time ‘hanging out’ with a friend which is valid during their 2024 season and an annual family season ticket for The Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre valid from February 2024 to February 2025.
The prize for the over 16 competition is a £150 voucher for Loch Lomond Leisure 2024 season where they can use the voucher for their tours or water sports. The lucky winner will also receive an annual family season ticket for The Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre valid from February 2024 to February 2025.
Commenting on the competition, Audrey Calder from Loch Lomond Shores says: “We’ve been blown away by the many talented photographers who have entered in previous years and are excited to see the images submitted in this year’s competition.
“We think we offer a great location for amateur photographers, and they’ve proved it time and again. All we ask is that they make sure the image is taken here at Loch Lomond Shores – whether it’s in our woodland, on the loch within the bay, on our beaches or anywhere around the site – both inside and out. They can focus on close-ups of wildlife, nature, structures, portraits – whatever they love taking pictures of!”
Entries to be uploaded in our photography competition section at www.lochlomondshores.com from Monday 22nd January and no later than Monday 19th February along with contact details and category ie. Under 16 or Over 16. Our panel of judges will make their decision on winners after close for submissions.
