The festival, which took place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 April, attracted crowds from Renfrewshire and beyond to Abbey Close and Bridge Street for one of the most popular events in the town’s calendar.
This year’s line-up saw more than 35 traders offering the finest street food, artisan makers and licensed bars, live entertainment, kids workshops and much more!
There were plenty of tasty treats on offer from some of Renfrewshire’s favourite food and drink spots including Café Fairfull, Dark God Rum and Paisley Drinks Company.
Paisley-based Two Towns Down Brewing were offering a special IPA at the event, Mango No 5, brewed especially for the festival. While long-term festival favourites The Keg had a special stage and bar on Bridge Street hosting a brilliant array of bands playing live music for people to enjoy with a drink and a bite.
The event also saw the return of some festival favourites including Scozzese woodfired pizza, Brigston & Co. artisan hotdogs, Lemon Squeezy, Free the Chilli and Greek Street Food, as well as the Fizzbuz prosecco van and Rum Shack Caribbean bar.
Paisley Food and Drink Festival is always a great day out for the whole family. Kids were able to get involved in a host of fantastic, free activities on Saturday from pizza making workshops and free face painting to inflatables and balloon modelling. There was also a Story Wagon with storytelling performances and creative writing activities throughout the day.
An exciting new addition to this year’s kids programme included outdoor chicken and cowboy show, The Good, The Bad and The Poultry, delivered by Adrenalisim Theatre, which was a big hit with the crowds.
Over the course of the weekend there was a great selection of live musical entertainment including performances from local acts including RockUs Community Choir, Crawford Smith, Shaun Moore, Fèis Phàislig, live DJs and more.
The event received lots of positive comments on social media, with Suzanne writing on Facebook "We had a brilliant day. It was good to see the town buzzing. Can it be on next weekend too?"
