With less than 40 days to go until the first ball is kicked in Germany, IRN-BRU is helping to build on optimism sweeping the nation ahead of the summer tournament by celebrating hopeful fans on social media who have been the first to declare faith for the team.
Optimistic fans have seen the positive posts they’d put out on social media plastered across huge billboards and touring digital vans as they join BRU in spreading hope amongst the country ahead of Germany 2024.
They include a fan in Glasgow announcing they’ll get the number 24 tattoo’d onto their back if Scotland win the tournament, a supporter in Peterhead who’s backing the team to lift the trophy and even a fan in Ratho who has predicted it’ll be France who Scotland face in the final.
Speaking about their optimism ahead of the tournament, Alexander Wilson said: “No matter what happens, it's been the most incredible run to be a part of. With a few things going in our favour, we can get out of the group and after that anything can happen. Bring on June 14.”
Double back-to-back tournament qualifications, dispatching Spain in the group stages and a widely praised campaign leading to a place in Germany with two games to spare has given fans plenty to look forward to this summer.
Kenny Nicholson, IRN-BRU’s Head of Brand said: “It’s a big summer of football and it's clear to see that some Scots have already dared to dream. We’re championing a selection of the nation’s most confident supporters who have the belief that we can.
“There are signs of optimism everywhere and this is only going to increase in the run up to the tournament. For now, we’re doing our part to help it spread.”
IRN-BRU is now calling on other true BRU-lievers to share their messages of support for the national team on social media.
Offering a ‘dose of optimism in every can’, IRN-BRU is rolling out special promotional packs which will be appearing across the nation, fuelling the spread of optimism.
Marking the first phase of IRN-BRU’s summer football campaign, keep an eye on the brand’s socials for plenty more footy optimism over the coming weeks.
