As the holiday season jingles closer and Santa polishes his sleigh in preparation, Dobbies, one of the biggest employers of Santas and elves in the UK, is looking for a jolly team to help deliver its exciting line-up of great value Christmas events across the country.
From welcoming children (and dogs) to Santa’s Little Seedlings train-themed Grotto, to hosting Santa’s Breakfast in the restaurant, these merry recruits will be at the heart of spreading festive cheer and helping families excitedly countdown to Christmas. Successful applicants will undergo a comprehensive training programme through Dobbies’ Santa School.
To ensure the most magical start to the festive season, Dobbies’ seasonal colleagues will begin preparations in mid-November for the grand opening of Santa's Grotto across 50 stores and the new Meet Santa experience across 19 stores, on Thursday 28 November 2024 at Dobbies’ Christmas Shopping Night.
Dobbies’ Events Programme Manager, Ayesha Nickson, has been working with the wider team to develop this year’s offering and can’t wait to welcome applications. She said “We're hoping to create the most memorable experiences for families across the country this Christmas at Dobbies. To bring our vision to life, we're looking for enthusiastic and friendly Santas and elves, who will help us share the magic.
“Whether you have experience or simply love the festive season, we’re inviting applications from across the country. Our comprehensive training programme ensures everyone will be feeling confident to create unforgettable moments. If you're looking for a rewarding role this festive season, we strongly encourage you to apply.”
Dobbies’ Stratford-upon-Avon Santa is thrilled to be sleighing back to the garden centre this year. He said: “There’s no place more magical than Dobbies at Christmas and I can’t wait to welcome families along for some yuletide cheer. I’m excited help Dobbies create the most joyful Christmas yet!”
Applicants are now invited to apply for the roles, with a variety of hours available to suit different schedules.
Dobbies’ Santa School is an online learning platform that each successful applicant will undergo. After completing the course, new seasonal colleagues will receive further in-store training session.
